Visit Val d’Isere by Helicopter for one of this Year’s Most Exciting Mountain Festivals

Val d’Isere is renowned for its excellent skiing, but what many of those using our Annecy transfer service are yet to discover is that the resort is also famous for its’ world-class classical music festival.

The charming resort in the Savoie department of the French Alpes, just 35 minutes from Geneva Airport with our Annecy transfer service , hosts a bi-annual festival called Classicaval which has grown hugely in popularity over recent years.

In fact, this year’s March festival – which will take place in the heart of Val d’Isere from March 19th to the 21st – will celebrate the event’s 20th anniversary and in recognition of this milestone passport ticket holders are invited to a free guided tour of the church in which Classicaval is held. A passport ticket holder is classified as a member of the audience who attends all three concerts held over the three-day event.

The concerts are held in the small baroque church of St Bernard de Menthon, which was built in 1664, and which boasts a wonderful baroque altar pieces, and a gilt tabernacle not to mention its towering spire which stands at 33 meters, a must attend event during your trip to Val d’Isere by helicopter.

It is the perfect place in which to listen to the series of concerts, which this year will be performed by a number of leading classical artists from around the world.

This year the March festival is under the direction of Frédéric Lagarde, one of the world’s greatest pianists, and although the program had not yet been revealed, it is sure to be worthy of a trip to Val d’Isere by helicopter.

What better experience after an exhilarating day on the slopes than to sit in the delightful church and listen to world-class musicians before making you way back to your hotel or chalet through the snowy streets of Val d’Isere?
