Situated in the north-westerly part of the Alps and in the shadows of the majestic Mont Blanc, Chamonix is at the crossroads of Europe. Switzerland is just 15km away via the Col des Montets and Italy is another 15km in the other direction via the Mont-Blanc tunnel.

The resort, which is made up of a number of small villages which are all interlinked by a sophisticated lift system. It boasts the world’s biggest lift-served skiable drop of 2807 metres, one of the world’s longest runs at 22km through the Vallée Blanche and it also hosted the world’s first Winter Olympics in 1924.
The five villages within the Chamonix Valley are Grands Montets, Les Houches, Les Tour, La Flegere and Le Brevent, all of which possess their own individual charms yet share access to one of the greatest skiing domain in the world.
