Chamonix is a small Alpine town set close to the border of France and Switzerland. Situated at 1035m in the heart of France’s Nothern alps, Chamonix boasts some of the best views around, particularly at the top of Aiguille Du Midi at 3842m. From here you have a panoramic view of the French, Swiss and Italian Alps. On a clear day you will even be able to see the Matterhorn, Monta Rosa and the Grand Combin.
For extreme sport enthusiast, it doesn’t matter whether the snow is falling or the sun is shining, as Chamonix is open all year round. In winter the resort becomes an adventure playground, covered in snow, you can snowboard, ski, heli-ski and paraglide.
From spring till autumn there are just as many thrilling activities on offer such as downhill mountain biking, rock climbing (up the Aiguille Du Midi), trekking and paragliding. With over 110km of pistes to play with, there is definitely enough room for everyone to come and enjoy their own holiday.
What most people do not realise when visiting chamonix for their winter ski holiday, is just how amazing it is throughout the year. Take away the luxury chalets, hotels, ski lifts and what do you see? An abundance of Mountains, glaciers and cliff faces; nature at its best.
The best way to arrive in Chamonix is in a Chamonix helicopter transfer. Be in resort in under half the time it would take a regular land transfer and give yourself more time to enjoy the mountains. With the views from the helicopter you will be able to get an insight into Chamonix: Nature’s playground. Heli Securite can transfer you from all surrounding airports such as Grenoble, Geneva, Chambery, Annecy and Lyon.
Chamonix helicopter transfers do not have to be from just the Airport. If you want to try a different resort for the day, then book one of our helicopters, to transfer you in style to another ski station. But then again why leave Chamonix? We’re sure you’ll love it.
